Come and see what we're all about.

Usefulbox opens its doors for a full day of making, mending, and community as part of Sydney Craft Week 2026. Whether you've never touched a sewing machine or you've been stitching for years, there's something here for you.

Drop in any time between 10am and 3pm to tour the studio, meet the teachers, watch live demonstrations, and browse the retail shop and Usefulbox pattern line. Bring something that needs repairing and join the Mending Circle — experienced sewers will help you fix it and teach you the techniques to do it yourself next time.

Stay on for Social Sewing from 3–7pm — bring your current project, settle in, and sew alongside fellow makers.

Free drop-in, 10am–3pm

Ticketed taster sessions at 10:30am and 1pm (beginners, 75 mins each)

Ticketed Social Sewing, 3–7pm (BYO project, no teacher)
