Crochet class!

It's been a little while since my last post...I've not been able to stop with my work & enjoying London!  Therefore it's way too long since I attended the Crochet for Beginners class with East London Craft Guerrilla.

I took the Victoria line all the way to Walthamstow E17 with 'House of Love' in my head to meet with the lovely Lisa from Craft Guerrilla who was to be our teacher.  It was held in a pub on the high street of E17 & I thoroughly enjoyed myself by both going to a new place & to be with likeminded girls learning something new.

Lisa is a great teacher & by the time we left, I felt that I had the hang of it.  Lisa began the course with how to hold the thread & needle with her mantra "it's all in the hold"...& boy, is she right.  We then learnt the simple 'casting on' and then the single crochet stitch.

I wanted to take loads of pics but my camera just wasn't up to the low light so next time I'll bring Mister's camera along with me!

I then sat for the next weekend at any moment I had to practice my stitches & I think I finally have the hang of it...now just have to get to the next class so that Lisa can check on my progress...

Before long I hope to be making some pretty spiffy granny squares...
xx

ps:  more info on Craft Guerrilla to come as they do some pretty awesome craft projects so I am looking forward to hanging out with Lisa more & more...
